O’Keeffe at WAM
The Wichita Art Museum is staging one of its most anticipated exhibits in years with Georgia O’Keeffe: Art, Image, Style.
O’Keeffe is best known for her iconic paintings of enlarged flowers and New Mexico landscapes. But the exhibit, organized by the Brooklyn Museum, also delves into the portraits and personal style of the artist.
The exhibit runs March 30-June 23, kicking off with a day of music, food trucks, a movie about O’Keeffe and more. Downtown cleanup

Tree festival
Sedgwick County Extension Education Center at 21st and Ridge will hold its 17th annual Tree Festival from 8a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 6. Seminars and demonstrations, tree and plant sales, a pancake and sausage breakfast and more activities are scheduled, plus there will be a sale of new and gently used gardening tools, supplies and art to raise money for the Master Gardener program. Admission is free.
Walking Wednesdays
Bike Walk Wichita is sponsoring a walk at a different park around the city each Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. The location of each walk will be on Bike Walk Wichita’s Facebook page as well as in the Walk Kansas newsletter.
Back to the Blue Moon
The 11th annual Blue Moon party is the Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum’s signature fundraising event, offering an evening of music, food and drink in the spirit of the Blue Moon. Internationally renowned jazz singer Donna Tucker and her quartet will perform.
