Oil Museum weather re-dos

EL DORADO — Two events originally scheduled for January at the Kansas Oil Museum have been delayed until this month because of weather. The museum’s annual Family Fun Day will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 3. It’s free for members and $1 for non-members. The museum’s Volunteer Fair starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24 and will provide information about positions that are available.

Heartland seeks volunteers

Heartland Home Health & Hospice is seeking active seniors and other volunteers to help support hospice patients.

Meatless Mexican back for Lent

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 2409 N. Market, is again offering meatless Mexican dinners on Fridays during Lent, from Feb. 16 through March 22. Enchiladas, chile rellenos, tacos and more prepared by parishioners are sold from 5-7 p.m., for dine in or carry out. Proceeds support Catholic school scholarships.

Love talk at Botanica

“The Truth About Love, Intimacy and Shacking Up” is the theme of the next Empowered Seniors seminar at Botanica, which is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8. There is no charge.
