Based on the beloved movie, this musical revolves around two World War II buddies who decide to help their former commanding general save his struggling Vermont inn. Prairie Pines Murder Mystery Theatre, Catch That Falling Star. When the star of the televised extravaganza is killed off by a falling stage light, it’s up to the beautiful detective to solve the mystery and sing a few Christmas songs along the way. Now – Dec 23. Wichita Community Theatre, 258 N. Fountain. A Christmas Carol, by Joe Landry. The Charles Dickens story comes to life as a live 1940s radio broadcast complete with vintage commercials, live sound effects and musical underscoring.  Performances are at 8 pm Thursday through Saturday with a 2 pm Sunday matinee, Dec 5-15.
