Wichita police are investigating the shooting death of a 59-year-old Wichita man.
On Jun 14, at 11:44 a.m., Wichita police were dispatched to a shooting with injuries call in the 400 block of North Market Street.
When officers arrived, they found the 59-year-old man inside his car, suffering from a gunshot wound. EMS began lifesaving measures and transported him to a local hospital in critical condition, but he was pronounced dead at 2:30 p.m.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim arrived at the location with the gunshot wound. Investigators are using every tool available to the department to determine what led up to this shooting and the person or people responsible.
