Evergy Connect-Wichita will host a resource event specifically geared toward senior citizens, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 22, to connect them with community resources.

Customers 65 years of age and older can visit 111 South Ellis Street in downtown Wichita with no appointment necessary to visit with community partners including Senior Services of Wichita, Consumer Credit Counseling Service, AARP of Kansas, City of Wichita Public Works & Utilities, Inspired Advisors and South Central Kansas Economic Development District (SCKEDD).

Attendees can have account consultations with Evergy specialists, learn about payment resources and energy savings tools such as energy savings kits, thermostats and energy assessments. Residential customers 65 years of age and older can also receive a free Vornado Air fan, while supplies last, to help them stay cool in the summer months.
