The Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum is offering free admission from 4-7 p.m. every Thursday through August. There’s free street parking after 5 p.m.
The evening openings will feature live music and other special activities.
The museum, which occupies Wichita’s 1890 City Hall, is located at 204 S. Main. It features dozens of exhibits and thousands of artifacts illuminating local history, as well as a gift shop offering books, souvenirs and gift items.
The museum’s normal hours are Tuesday-Friday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 1-5 p.m. Regular admission is $5 for adults & $2 for children.
