Visitors can arrange photos from the museum’s collection to create their own exhibit.

It’s also opportunity to tour a special exhibit, Portraits from the Museum Collection, before it closes at the end of the month.

All programs are free and open to the public. Guided tours start at 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30; other activities are offered from 1-4 p.m. No reservation is necessary.

The Great Plains Nature Center is inviting community members to a variety of free events held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. from March 16-19 onsite at the nature center, 6232 E. 29th St. North.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about reptiles, mammals, amphibians, birds and more through daily themed activities. There will be a naturalist program at 11 a.m. each day followed by a hike through the trail at 11:45 a.m. Other activities throughout the week include crafts, games and more. While geared toward elementary-aged attendees, the programs are open to residents of all ages.
“Our naturalists are ready to share spring break and the opening of a new season with the community,” said Bailey Ritchey, Director of Educational Programs. “Every person stepping through the door will learn something, and that makes this even more exciting!”
