Wichita police are investigating the death of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 1900 block of South Southwest Boulevard late Saturday, Sept. 20.
Upon arrival shortly after 11 p.m., officers located two injured pedestrians: a 26-year-old female and a 32-year-old male. Both were transported to a local hospital, where the male identified as Joseph Cox of Wichita, succumbed to his injuries.
The driver has been identified and the police investigation is still ongoing. When completed, the case will be presented to the DA for potential charging considerations.
