Wichita Park and Recreation and Wichita Parks Foundation will host the tenth annual Red, White & BOOM presented by Evergy on Friday, July 4, from 6 to 10:30 p.m. in downtown Wichita.
For the first time ever, Century II’s Kennedy Plaza will be the central hub for this free community celebration. Beginning at 6 p.m., food vendors will be available along Douglas avenue north of Century II. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. immediately following the Wind Surge’s fireworks at Equity Bank Park. The show will be choreographed to music. Guests may download the Pyrocast app or scan a QR code at the event to sync their experience.
For an exclusive experience, Century II will offer a family-friendly balcony party with a fantastic view of the fireworks. Admission will be charged, and tickets will be sold directly through Century II via Select-A-Seat. Tickets are available for sale.
Road closures begin at 3 p.m. on July 4 and will reopen around 10:30 p.m.
