The American Red Cross is urging people to donate blood during the summer and sweetening the deal with a couple of rewards.
This is the 17th year for the organization’s Red, White & You Blood Drive. Blood donations tend to drop in the summer as people travel for vacations and students leave school campuses that host large blood drives.
All donors will receive an exclusive Red, White & You Red Cross t-shirt and a ticket to the Sedgwick County Zoo while supplies last. You can make an appointment by searching RWYKS on www.RedCrossBlood.org or the Blood Donor app or by calling 1-800-REDCROSS.
