By The Active Age | April 12, 2024

Looking to dispose of an old computer, TV or other electronic device? Sedgwick County Environmental Resources will host free electronic waste recycling events April 18-20 and April 25-27, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Sedgwick County West Yard, 4701 S. West St.

Sedgwick County residents can dispose of computers, laptops, printers, televisions, cell phones, batteries, tablets, network devices (routers, modems, etc.), VCRs, DVD players, video games, scanners, fax machines and more.  According to a news release, Sedgwick County contracts with a zero-waste vendor, so all electronics collected are reused or recycled. Nothing is thrown in a landfill or shipped overseas. Hard drives are erased or destroyed to prevent access to stored data. This collection is intended for individual households and businesses, excluding those selling or recycling electronics.
